Jay C. Burgman was born and raised on Suburban Long Island where he began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 1983. He met his wife, Rose, in undergraduate school while he was a Sophomore and she a Freshman. They married in 1973, and graduated, together, with their Masters’ Degrees in the class of 1975. Jay continued his education earning a post graduate certificate in educational administration, and a doctorate in the field of theology.

Jay’s is a trained and committed educator with experience at the Secondary and University level. His commitment to education is evident when working with his clients, carefully explaining all aspects of their financial plan. He often says, “An educated client is our firm’s ultimate goal. Clients often do not know what is possible. Learning and understanding their dreams, their desires, and their needs, helps us craft a plan designed to yield financial security on their terms.”

Jay and Rose have three wonderful grown children and six incredible grandchildren; thankfully, all live locally. He enjoys golf, sporting clays, fly fishing, training Labrador Retrievers, and sitting under a large beach umbrella reading with Rose in North Myrtle Beach. Growing up on Long Island, he was an avid water skier and surfer. Now that those days have passed, he loves teaching and watching his children and grandchildren enjoy the same sports.

Michael Burgman has lived and worked in the Bucks County area for the last 20 years. He attended Plumstead Christian High School in Plumsteadville, PA and later earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cedarville University, in Cedarville, OH and Masters degree from Gratz College in Melrose Park, PA.

Michael’s passion has always been teaching and coaching, and he uses that passion on a daily basis with his clients. “I believe in education,” Michael acknowledged, “I want my clients to take action because we have educated them enough to make an informed decision. Yes, I want them to work with us because they trust us and trust our track record, but just as important to me is that they work with us because they understand the plan and agree with the tenets of the plan!”

Michael is also a sports enthusiast who enjoys playing most any sport. He played Varsity soccer in college for four years, and coached middle school soccer in the Doylestown, PA area for 10 years.

Michael married his wife, Karen, in 2005. She is well-known in the Bucks County area for her work as a concert pianist. In addition to performing, she also is a teacher, conductor, and composer. Michael and Karen have three daughters, Madelyn, Sophia, and Lillian. “The work we do affects families,” Michael noted, “I believe that families are the crux of what drives our decision making process. If we are to really help our clients, we must build plans around growing financial security for the sake of the family.”

Kenneth K. Wilson was born and has spent most of his life in northwestern New Jersey, apart from short stints in Florida and California. He attended Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington, NJ, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California and Montclair State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing.

Since joining the industry in 2018, Kenneth's aim has been to help expose as many people as possible to the often complicated and intimidating concepts of financial and business planning, while making them easier to access and more palatable. In doing so, he brings his clients' planning to the next level. "Our clients have usually taken some really good planning steps like implementing company benefits or opening an investment account," Kenneth adds, "but we often find that without a cohesive overall plan, they may still have gaps and blind spots preventing them from reaching their full potential over time.”

Outside business hours, Kenneth keeps himself (and his partner, Brianna) busy with an eclectic list of hobbies. On any given day you could find him enjoying time with friends or family, skating at the roller rink, recording music at the studio, working on his car or motorcycle at the shop, or attending a runway show in the city.

Dawson joined The Burgman Financial Group at Northwestern Mutual in 2023 and is an Associate Financial Representative with our firm. He holds his Pennsylvania Life and Health Licenses.

Dawson is a proud graduate of Delaware County Christian School as well as the Penn State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. When not at work, Dawson enjoys spending time with his five siblings, cheering on his Philadelphia sports teams, attending local concerts, and staying active. He currently resides in Montgomery County, PA.

Amy joined The Burgman Financial Group at Northwestern Mutual in 2020. She handles much of our Team’s outgoing communication to our clients and helps to manage both Michael and Jay’s calendars.
